The Harris family have for many years supported the Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation in there various fundraising needs. Beginning in January 2012 we are delighted to support the annual Lotto For Life for the 4th straight year. This year we are supplying a 2012 Buick Regal Sedan for one lucky winner. The car will be displayed at the North Nanaimo and Country Club Malls from January 2012 to April 2012. Please support this great Lottery event and you could be driving away in a 2012 Buick Regal Sedan.
This Saturday November 26th 2011 we will be loaning our Fleet and Commercial van to the Parksville Fire Department for there food drive. Please take non-perishable food down to support this great cause and show our support for the people who need it the most.
On Saturday November 12th 2011 we welcomed in conjunction with Big Boys Toys and Quality Foods the Food Bank Bus. Many of our customers past and present along with our staff donanted food for those who need it most in our community. Thank you to everybody who came and donated and enjoyed some BBQ weiners!
For the last 4 years we have supported the Seaside Cruizers and attended the annual Fathers Day car show in Qualicum Beach, this is one of the largest classic car shows in the world today and has entries from as far away as Halifax, Nova Scotia. The event is very well attended is the highlight of the tourist season in the Oceanside community. We have displayed Corvette, Camaro, Camaro Convertible even classics such as a 1959 Ford T-Bird. Those who have attended this event will have seen our owners Mike and Tom Harris togther with there family walking around viewing all the entires. In 2011 we had a spin off event that was staged right here at the Harris Oceanside GM lot in Parksville, BC where we had an evening classic car show with a band, BBQ and great prizes for the vehicles. This event will be back in 2012 so stay tuned and as we release more details of this event and it will be bigger than better then the 2011 event.
